SUSTAINABILITY
GES is committed to the promotion of renewable energy in various countries in the developing world. The Green Energy Smile project, in collaboration with the Associazione Tibidabo Onlus, represents a genuine help in the design and development of local technology related to renewable energy. The first steps of the program include the installation of a plant in Southern Tanzania (dedicated to an orphanage).
GES has set ambitious targets for reducing its emissions of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. The steps we are taking involve the following: be aware of emissions in order to keep them in check, reduce them by targeting and ultimately developing a zero emissions strategy.
Currently we are developing a monitoring system to evaluate the ongoing emissions of all of the offices and resources (cars, trains and aircraft) used by our entire staff. Several strategies are now under review to create a substantial reduction of environmental pollutants.
GES is also a producer of clean energy: it owns 33% of the Cautha (Lecce) 750 kW power plant.
GES provides financial support for special projects in the field of renewable energy. For an assessment of funding, contact us and do the following:
- Tell us about the project
- Inform us of the technology you plan to use
- Provide calculations of the reduction in emissions
- Provide a financial plan (if available)
Our Financing Manager will evaluate the project.
This might just be the first step in creating a joint partnership.
